Practice finding the surface area of prisms and cubes using their nets. Surface area is the total area of every face.
Add the areas of all six faces: SA = 2(lw + lh + wh). A 5 × 3 × 2 prism has surface area 2(15 + 10 + 6) = 62 square units.
A cube has 6 equal square faces, so SA = 6 × side². A cube with edges of 4 has surface area 6 × 16 = 96 square units.
