My name is Joel, and I'm the founder of Cubles. I wanted to take a moment to talk directly to you — the parents, grandparents, teachers, and family members who choose to put one of our characters in a child's hands.
Why I Started This
I've always believed that kids are natural builders. Give them materials and a little guidance, and they'll create something that surprises you. That belief — in kids' ability to make real things with their real hands — is what drove me to create Cubles.
I wanted to build something that sits at the intersection of play and pride. Something a kid could open, build independently, and then hold up and say: "I made this."
What Drives Us
We're a small team in Arden Hills, Minnesota. Every character is designed, engineered, printed, and packaged here. We care about quality because our name is on every product — and because your child's experience depends on it.
We care about sustainability because we're leaving this planet to these same kids. Every Cubles character is made from recyclable paperboard. No plastic. For every tree we use, we plant 100 more.
And we care about accessibility because building shouldn't be expensive or complicated. No tools. No glue. No scissors. Ages 6 and up. That's a promise.
The Moment That Matters
If you've ever watched a child finish building a Cubles character, you know the moment I'm talking about. The last piece clicks in. They hold it up. Their face changes.
That's not just pride in a toy. That's a kid realizing they can take something flat and confusing and turn it into something real and beautiful. That's confidence. And it transfers to everything else they do.
